Due to the Iran War, our shipment is stuck in Dubai
Right now, two full pallets of donated school supplies destined for students in Uganda are stranded in the UAE due to the ongoing Iran conflict. Shipping routes have been disrupted, and we’ve been told to expect significant new costs to move them onward.
At the same time, fuel costs are soaring due to regional instability. Once we are finally able to get the supplies past the Strait of Hormuz, we will still face additional unexpected costs to transport our items from the port in Mombassa, Kenya, to landlocked Uganda.
