For this week’s Feature Friday, we are sharing one of our favorite videos “From the Archives.”
The ongoing pandemic may have thrown off the yearly rhythm of Sister Schools, but never fear! We will still have a Gala this year! There are a lot of moving parts to a virtual event and the only way to align them was by rescheduling the Gala for later in October. In the meantime, we have been drawing inspiration from some of our past events, including this Feature Friday video!
Our opening video from our 2015 Gala is one of our favorites. We interviewed several students from our local partner, John Stanford International School. They participated in their first ever supply drive the year before, during which they collected almost 750 pounds of supplies! Of that, over 100 pounds was just crayons. What is just as incredible is the clear impact that the Return Presentation had on the children.
As one young boy says, participating in the Sister Schools program "makes me want to give more."
