At Echo Lake Elementary, community and compassion are coming to life in a powerful way thanks in part to the generous support of Windermere Real Estate/Shoreline.

Serving the Shoreline community since 1977, Windermere Shoreline has built a legacy rooted in more than just real estate. Their longstanding commitment to local families is reflected in a wide range of community initiatives, from Windermere Community Service Day and local fundraising drives to public service outreach. This spirit of giving has made them a trusted and active partner in strengthening the Shoreline community.
That commitment now extends to a global stage through their sponsorship of Sister Schools’ program at Echo Lake Elementary. Sister Schools works to connect local students with peers in Uganda, fostering empathy, cultural awareness, and a broader understanding of the world. With Windermere Shoreline’s support, Echo Lake students are not only learning about global citizenship, they are actively participating in it.
“We are proud to support Sister Schools in their mission to connect local students with peers in Uganda, fostering compassion and cultural understanding,” said Hannah Hewitt, Assistant Office Manager at Windermere Shoreline.

This year, approximately 400 Echo Lake students came together with a shared purpose: to support their Ugandan partner school. Their efforts resulted in the collection of an impressive 300 pounds of school supplies, demonstrating both generosity and a deep sense of connection to students halfway around the world.
The impact of this partnership goes beyond supplies. It builds bridges between communities, encourages students to think beyond their immediate surroundings, and reinforces the value of service and compassion from an early age.
Windermere Shoreline’s sponsorship exemplifies how local businesses can play a meaningful role in shaping the next generation of global citizens. Together with Echo Lake Elementary and Sister Schools, they are helping students understand that even small actions can create lasting change, both locally and globally.
